調査の目的

東京の街に溢れる文字を抽出・分析し、エリア毎の特徴を明らかにすること。
ある画角から見える街の文字を全て抽出し、「飲食」「娯楽」「地域」「生活」の4つにジャンル分けをする。どのジャンルに偏りがあるかと、4つのジャンルに振り分けた文字一つひとつを確認することで、そのエリアの詳細な特徴を明らかにする。

To extract and analyze the characters that overflow in the city of Tokyo and clarify the characteristics of each area.All the characters of the city that can be seen from a certain angle of view are extracted and divided into four genres: "Food," "Entertainment," "Area," and "Life." By checking which genre is biased and each character assigned to each of the four genres, the detailed characteristics of the area will be clarified.

全5エリア（秋葉原、銀座、渋谷、新宿、新橋）

調査内容

調査対象のエリアにて、ギガパンで駅周辺を撮影。
さらには、周辺の細かい文字を研究員が別途撮影し、写真に写り込んだ全ての文字を抽出。その後、頻出度による分析にかけた。
また、抜き出した文字を街の写真の上から、大きさ・角度を合わせて置き直し、いかに街に文字が溢れているかの可視化を試みた。

In addition, the researchers separately took pictures of the surrounding small characters and extracted all the characters that were reflected in the photo. After that, it was subjected to analysis based on the frequency.
In addition, I tried to visualize how the letters overflowed in the city by placing the extracted letters on the photograph of the city, matching the size and angle.
