Hachiko's statue

This is a broze statue at the Shibuya station of a dog named Hachi. Now this bronze statue is famous as a meeting place in Shibuya, but Hachi (November 10, 1923 to March 8, 1935) is an Akita breed of dog from Odate City in Akita Prefecture. It is said that his owner had died, but Hachi waited for his return, and was at the Shibuya station every day for about nine years. The anniversary of the death of Hachiko is March 8, but on April 8, a memorial service is held in front of the Shibuya statue and in Odate City.
